Just as the Master-chefs are passionate about quality produce, the master-breeder is equally passionate about genetics to produce a superior product.

Having discovered Wagyu genetics in the early 90’s, Blackmore Wagyu Beef secured exclusivity and set up a dedicated program to select and breed 100 per cent full blood Wagyu.

Quality is sought and measured through progeny testing with the best product having high levels of marbling (amongst other traits and characteristics).

Another secret to success, is the ability to breed cattle sustainability. This includes breeding Wagyu with traits best suited for Australian farming conditions.
